Surgical Workshops in Albania and Africa

In May, NESA was invited to conduct a second surgical workshop at the University Hospital of Tirana, Albania. This year’s workshop will focus on urogynecology and oncology, continuing the successful collaboration established during the previous training.

At the same time, NESA continues its longstanding tradition of organizing surgical training workshops in East and West Africa. Following earlier workshops in Senegal, Burkina Faso, and Kenya, two additional workshops are currently being planned: one in Kenya, bringing together participants from seven neighboring countries, and another in Rwanda.

These workshops will provide hands-on training in Cesarean sections, vaginal hysterectomy, basic endoscopy, and the prevention and treatment of female genital mutilation (FGM), helping strengthen surgical capacity and improve women’s health care in the region.
